ChickPeas (Part 1 of 3)
I purchased a 20oz bag of dried raw chick peas because it was $1.19 at teeter. This is chapter 1 of how these delicious morsels ended up in my belly.
1. Rinse them clean in a colander
2. Let them soak in a big contianer of water overnight in the fridge. (In the morning they are 3x their original size!)
3. I then cooked them in a big pot of salted water for about an hour.
4. After drained they are a great protein addition to any salad.
Here is what the pot looked like.
(it creeps me out that they actually look like little chick heads)
